You’re in the “prime years of your life” but are experiencing emptiness, anxiety, and even overwhelming sadness.  You might feel like you’re hustling to be the most presentable version of yourself – in your career, social relationships, partnership, or parenting.  You’re put together on the outside, but on the inside you’re feeling lost, uncertain how much longer you can keep it all together, and struggling with that voice that tells you you're not good enough.

Are you unsure of yourself in your career, in singleness or your relationship, or as a new mom?  Is there a voice inside telling you you’re not enough?  Not doing it right?  Not successful enough?  Not grateful enough?  Do you feel stuck in self-judgment, insecurity, or imposter syndrome?  Are you feeling the pressure from the tight grip of trying to control everything?  Do you adapt to your environment to feel a sense of security or value? If this is you, you’ve come to the right place.

Life is complicated, especially if you are navigating all the life changes and expectations that come with being a 20–30-year-old woman in this day and age.  These defining decades are filled with milestone transitions and relationships – and it’s within them where you are likely to see your childhood wounds or past trauma play out.  On top of that, with more access to information and a culture of social media, 20-30-somethings are experiencing the pressure of comparison and are feeling more inadequate, lonely, confused, anxious, depressed, and generally not good enough than their previous generations.

I understand!  My work is centered on helping high achievers like you successfully navigate these decades to feel like yourself again (or for the first time) and experience the fulfillment you desire in every domain of your life.

Together, we will work toward knowing yourself, your worth, and your purpose, healing the wounds that are holding you back, and transforming deeply rooted false beliefs into new truths so you can thrive in your life and relationships.

Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing we’ll ever do.
— Brené Brown

Until junior high, my family lived overseas and I attended a small international school with students from around the world.  Kids of journalists, diplomats, and missionaries: no two students had the same background.  Our community was small, so these were my dear friends, and their families were extensions of my own.  We instinctively bonded over our similarities, although we couldn’t have been more different. This fostered within me an inquisitiveness about people’s stories and experiences: what makes us so vastly different, and what makes us so humanly the same in the experiences of joy, contentment, pain, and heartache.

Before becoming a counselor, I lead young adults on mission trips around the world and I was captivated by the stories of my team members. We spent weeks at a time together and I loved building relationships with them, hearing about their lives, and helping them navigate the stressors that were waiting for them back home.  Over time, it became clear that the right path for me was to help those who are hurting, unsure, and asking the big questions of identity, purpose, and finding meaning in every day as a professional counselor.

I obtained my Bachelor’s in Human Relations at The University of Oklahoma and am a graduate of TWU’s Master’s in Counseling & Development program, with a focus in Clinical Mental Health.  Throughout my years in private practice, I have developed specialties helping women manage anxiety, depression, family of origin concerns, self-esteem issues, and life transitions, such as break-ups, career changes, marriage, pregnancy, postpartum, and new motherhood.

I help women who are self described high achievers and perfectionists trying to juggle it all. I work with my clients to navigate their stress, anxiety, and burnout, and the heavy pressure and expectation they feel in their relationships, careers, or as mothers. Together, we will pursue self-understanding so you can experience greater connection to yourself, and achieve deeper fulfillment in your relationships, profession, and motherhood.

When I founded Known Counseling in 2018, the right name was very important to me. Only one fit and it came from my experience of therapy as the client.  In my own journey of understanding myself more fully and being accepted as I showed up in vulnerability, I wanted to create a space where people could gain insight into their stories to live a more fulfilled life, while experiencing genuine compassion and connection.  Knowing yourself and being known by someone else became my greatest hope for the clients that walked through our doors.  It is my greatest hope for you.

I am a Christian counselor, however, I welcome individuals from all backgrounds, belief systems, and walks of life.  I will create an accepting, unbiased, and non-judgmental atmosphere that allows you to be yourself, process life’s difficulties, and reach your goals incorporating whatever faith beliefs you hold.

If you are ready to feel like yourself again and experience the life you dream about living, contact me today.  My hope is that you can find clarity from your story that produces a more content, joyful, and congruent way of living in your day to day.  You don’t have to have it all together.  Come as you are and we’ll walk forward together.
