Known Counseling is a private-pay practice and is considered out of network with insurance companies. I automatically provide clients with a monthly superbill that includes appointments from the previous month. You may submit it to your insurance company for possible reimbursement through your out-of-network benefits.
Coverage varies by plan, so I recommend contacting your insurance provider directly to ask about outpatient mental health benefits, deductibles, and reimbursement rates.

Initial intake session, 60 min: $250
Individual counseling session, 50 min: $225 -
After you submit the consultation form, I will personally review your inquiry and respond within two business days. If my practice seems like a good fit for what you are looking for, I will send information about scheduling a brief consultation and beginning with an intake session.
If I am not the right fit, I may be able to suggest other clinicians or resources to consider.

Yes. Virtual sessions are available to clients located anywhere in Texas. Some clients choose to meet entirely online, while others alternate between virtual and in-person sessions depending on their needs and schedules.

Most clients begin with weekly or every-other-week sessions. Meeting consistently at the beginning gives us time to understand what is happening and establish a meaningful rhythm in the work.
As your needs change, we will revisit the frequency together. The pace should support the work without becoming more than your current season can reasonably hold.

Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice are charged the full session fee. Monday appointments must be canceled by 5:00 p.m. the preceding Friday.
Because each appointment time is reserved specifically for you, consistent notice allows me to offer the time to another client when possible.
For inclement weather, I follow Dallas Independent School District (DISD) closure decisions. When sessions are canceled for this reason, no fee is charged.

Pre-crawling infants are welcome in both in-person and virtual sessions when childcare is not available.
Once a baby becomes mobile, it can be more difficult for you to have the privacy and attention counseling requires. At that point, I ask that childcare be arranged whenever possible.

Faith can be thoughtfully included in counseling when it is meaningful to you. This may include exploring Christian beliefs, values, spiritual questions, or experiences within the church.
Faith is never assumed or imposed, and clients from a range of backgrounds and beliefs are welcome in my practice.

Known Counseling is an independently operated counseling practice located within Walnut Hill OB/GYN Associates. You do not need to be a patient of the medical practice to work with me.
For established Walnut Hill patients, collaboration with your physician is available with your written permission when it would support your care.
